Ground Breaking Ceremonies were held
July 6 for Copper Beech Village, a townhouse project
at Gerard Street and South Ocean Avenue in Patchogue
being constructed by Pulte Homes in cooperation with
the Long Island Housing Partnership. Subsidy money
for qualifying first time home buyers is being
provided by Suffolk County and New York State. Half
of the 80 two bedroom units are available at
subsidized prices—20 at $158,973 and 20 at $243,695.
The prices depend on family income. The other 40
units will be sold at market price beginning at
$331,508. Applications are available in the
Chamber office at 15 North Ocean Ave., Patchogue
631-475-0121 or Call Long Island Housing Partnership
(LIHP) for applications (631) 435-4710.
The Patchogue Workforce Housing project is the
first of several being supported by Suffolk County.
County and state grant money goes directly to reduce
the purchase price for qualifying first time home
buyers.
At the Copper Beech Village Ground Breaking
ceremonies in Patchogue on July 6 were (left to
right) Patchogue Village Mayor Paul Pontieri,
Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, New York State
Assemblywoman Patricia Eddington, New York State
Attorney General Elliot Spitzer, Suffolk County
Legislator Vivian Fisher, and Patchogue Village
Trustee Gerard Crean. |
