Long Island Music Hall of Fame Inaugural Induction
Gala was held at the Patchogue Theatre for the
Performing Arts. The red carpet was rolled out,
a VIP tent the size of the theater was erected and
the town was ready for such talents as Peter
Criss from KISS, Joan Jett, Billy Joel,
and Twisted Sister to mention just a few.

The Long Island Music Hall of Fame is a
tax-exempt 501(c)(3) museum organization and
is incorporated under the New York Board of
Regents (Department of Education) as a non
for profit corporation.

Island Music Hall of Fame is dedicated to
the idea that our musical heritage is an
important resource to be celebrated and
preserved for future generations. It is a
place intended to inspire, in each person,
the desire to explore and celebrate music in
all its forms. It will be the home of Long
Island’s musical history, and a starting
point for its future; and a place where the
music community will find the support,
resources and leadership necessary to aid
them in that exploration. The goal is to
create an environment that inspires,
entertains, educates, and engages every
visitor in the creative process. The Long
Island Music Hall of Fame defines Long
Island by it's four counties Queens, Kings
(Brooklyn), Nassau and Suffolk! |
