Blessing of the Fleet
Patchogue, NY —Sunday, June 10 - Patchogue's
Blessing of the Fleet began at the Sea Fair grounds
on beautiful Patchogue River and headed South
stopping at all Marinas. The Blessing of the Fleet
is a centuries-old tradition fishing communities. A
blessing from the local representative of a house of
worship was meant to ensure a safe and bountiful
season. |
