Santa's Patchogue Kiwanis 5K Toy Trot
Over 400 Runners from as far away as Wappingers Falls participated in the Patchogue Kiwanis 5K Toy Trot on Sunday Dec 5th. The race started and finished in front of the Patchogue Fire Department. The administration of the race and award ceremonies were conducted at the BrickHouse Brewery. [more]

 

 

November 28th, 2010 [Saturday] 48th Annual Patchogue Main Street Christmas Parade This year’s theme was "GO-Green Christmas", it started at 6pm, start from corner of West Main St. and West Ave. and ran east to Rider Ave. The street were lined with many community members who enjoyed the tree lighting at Capital One Plaza, and many beautifully decorated floats.

The 17th Annual Christmas Holiday Boat Parade
on the Beautiful Patchogue River was held Sunday evening on a cool crisp night. Although view takes place up and down the Patchogue River, Sandspit Park was the place to be. Brookhaven Town set up their show mobile, and bleachers.  [more]

The Patchogue Arts Council/ Patchogue Theatre Lobby Gallery Artist Opening Reception was held Thursday November, 11 from 6:30 - 8:30pm. The Exhibiting Artist was Joann Dumas and her fine art photography. JoAnne Dumas was born in New York City and received her B.F.A. and M.P.S. from Pratt Institute in New York City. Upon graduating from Pratt JoAnne worked in several two-dimensional mediums, but with the advent of the digital camera she became fascinated with the endless opportunities to capture and manipulate digital images. JoAnne's digital images revolve around light and the way it falls to create patterns, shapes, textures and reflections. Her images have been exhibited in numerous group shows for years and more recently in a number of solo exhibitions. In addition she has work in a number of private and corporate collections and has received several artist grants. Some of her work can be viewed at www.dumasphoto.com

ARTSPACE Lofts of Patchogue Lottery...
was held by the Long Island Housing Partnership, Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri and the Village Board of Trustees at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. The Lottery drawing determined who will proceed to the Selection Committee and potentially live in one of these beautiful new artist units at Artspace Patchogue Lofts. Elected and appointed officials who have made this project possible joined the celebration. [more]

Key Club Divisional Rally- Key Club Leaders of Divisions One, Two and Three Lt. Governors
(from the left) Lexii DellaPenna, Stepanie Salinas and Zach Baum are shown here handing out material for constructing greeting cards for the Homeless Shelter as a sample community project. The activity was part of a Suffolk County Key Club leadership training rally held jointly at the Patchogue Medford High School for the incoming officers of the 20 Key Clubs in the three divisions in Suffolk County. Key Clubs are a Sponsored Youth organization of Kiwanis International. Members consist of high school students in 24 countries. The rally was hosted by the Patchogue-Medford High School Key Club which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Patchogue. Bridgehampton National Bank Opens at 41 East Main Street, Ste 1, Patchogue. The ribbon cutting ceremony was Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 10am.

The Roast Coffee and Tea Trading Company will open adjacent to the new branch, sharing the space, bring their own quality roasted coffee to Main Street.

On Sunday, July 25th, the run commenced and ended in front of the Patchogue Firehouse on Jennings Ave. Members of the Patchogue Kiwanis and the Patchogue Medford Key Club monitored the USATF certified 5K route and provided water to the runners. [more]


It is with great sadness that we notify you of the passing of Clare F. Rose founder of Clare Rose Inc. Beverage Distributor and a Generous Patchogue Community Supporter.
Clare Rose died peacefully at home on July 24, 2010 at the age of 98.Clare Fredric Rose was born in Patchogue, New York December 11, 1911. In 1933 he married Milly Palermo and raised 2 sons Mark and Fredric in the house he built on weekends in Blue Point.  [more]
