Ribbon Cutting at the NEW Patchogue YMCA
The New Y of Patchogue Ribbon Cutting Ceremony took place Friday, August 27 at 11am. The YMCA is located at 255 West Main Street in Patchogue. The ceremony was attended by 100's of people. This monumental project started with the donation of the land and one anonymous donor who gave 10 million dollars. The other 10 million was raise by the donation of many others. After the ceremony refreshments followed with tours of the new 54,000 sq. ft. facility. The new $20.5 million YMCA will open its doors for good at 5 AM, Sept. 7.

The state of the art 54,000 square foot facility includes 7 child care classrooms, a child watch room, 25 yard pool, gymnasium and running track, two story rock climbing wall, a wellness/fitness center, teen center with computer lab, large multi purpose space and an outdoor roof deck.
